I learned that Palestine was the Holy Land, and as I learned in school, Canaan is the Promised Land of the Israelites. I also learned that 2,000 years ago, it was the Jews that shaped the world.

  13. Judaism is very similar to Islam and the prophets who came to us delivered the same message. The sacred books of the two religions are also very similar. I learned that Canaan is now present-day Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq. King Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon and married the princess of Median. This act represented that the two cities have come to peace. King Nebuchadnezzar built the hanging gardens for his wife. I also learned that Hebrew workers would add water and step in the mud that they used to make buildings in Babylon. The mud would be shaped into bricks and dried in the sun. This would make the mud a very hard and sturdy material. I also learned that Hittite scribes were workers at the temples and when they were finally appointed to the palace, they knew many languages, history, and politics. They were very important to the Hittite people and they kept record of things that helped the king and his officials to do their duties to the people.
